Health and Safety

At Architen Lighting, health and safety is paramount and is at the forefront of all activities we carry out. Based at the office and out on site, our health and safety supervisors carry out regular inspections and are present throughout the project process – advising during design and engineering as well as supervising installation and maintenance.

Our formal Health and Safety policy details all the measures the company has adopted to ensure a safe working environment and to prevent any unnecessary risks being taken.

In promoting health and safety, Architen Lighting ensures:

  • Resources are used, in such a manner as will ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare at work of all employees and the prevention of risks to the safety or health of others.
  • That we are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations and that we co-operate fully with those responsible for enforcing them.
  • Regular health and safety information, instructions, training and supervision is provided to all staff and sub-contractors.
  • That health and safety issues are incorporated into planning and day to day supervision of work.

All our site staff are CSCS qualified and the company is certified by SafeContractor. We offer fully trained rope access site supervisors for installations at height and additional training is given to staff when necessary to ensure that all members of the team are fully competent.

The company believes that all staff have a duty to ensure the health and safety of themselves and others around them at all times, and regular toolbox talks and training are given.
